The International Human Rights Day was held today (2022.12.10) at the Central Provincial Office of the Council under the arrangement of the Governor. Governor Dr.Ilango Gandhi was the special guest. Wishwakeerthi Nufail and Secretary to the Governor Wishwakeerthi Raj Prasad were present.

The statue for 55 years is a symbol of the universal Peace of Mahathma Gandhi’s teachings, regard and affection for him in Sri Lanka and the close ties that India and Sri Lanka enjoy.
Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary was commemorated today in Jaffna by the Council of Justices of the Peace of Sri Lanka Jaffna and Kilicochi District.
The statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the center of Jaffna was garlanded and paid floral tributes.
In the event which took place at 7.30 am, Director of the Council of Governors of the Justice of the Peace Council Sathyakumaran Paul Darshan and Jaffna Kilinochchi District Director and members of the Council took part.
