Dr. Fahath A. Majeed, National Director of the CJPSL participated in a special program on the Tamil section of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation National Television and spoke on timely issues.

The Council strongly condemns the unjust killing of the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, who has done various services and works to establish peace in Sri Lanka and expresses sympathy to him. Today, Dr. Fahath A Majeed, ( National Director of CJPSL )wrote a condolence message and participated in the grief.

Attorney-at-Law Ambika Sargunathan today visited the Council’s headquarters at BMICH to inquire about past and future plans, in appreciation of the Council’s commitment to its full commitment to human rights and peace work. Ambika Satkunanathan is a human rights lawyer and human rights activist. She is also the former Commissioner of the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka. She also served in as the legal Consultant to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Sri Lanka

National Director visits CJPSL Governor’s House, A discussion was held today at the residence of the Hon’ble Governor of Council of Justices of the Peace of Sri lanka, Dr. Ilango Gandhi on the past activities of the Council and the future plans to be explored and moving forward.

The online conversation with the United Nations Development Program representatives Mr. Shakeel Ahamad, Country Programme Specialist from UNDP Regional Hub and Priyan Senevirathna, Technical Specialist, Reconciliation and Peacebuilding, was satisfied. National Director Dr. Fahath A Majeed began his official duties in the new office at BMICH, Colombo 7.

The formation of the new committee of Mannar district and the appointment of the new director took place on Sunday morning 2022.05.7. Newly appointed Mannar District Director Vasuki JP officially received his letter of appointment from National Director Dr. AMM Fahath.

The appointment ceremony for the Jaffna District and Kilinochchi District Joint Executive Committee members of the Sri Lanka Council of Justice of peace (CJP-SL) was held in Jaffna today (08.05.2022). Letters of appointment for Sathiyakumaran Paul Dharshanth as Director and Deputy Director DrSulaxshan Jp were issued by the National Director of the Organization Dr. Fahath A Majeed PhD and letters of appointment for the members were issued by Mr.Y. Dinesh Shanth, member of the National Board of Directors of the Organization. Congratulations to the nominated members on their journey through the mission of our organisation.
