Happy Peace Day to all dear souls! September 21 World Peace Day event was celebrated very well in Hutton under the leadership of “Vishwa Keerthi” B. Raj Prasad. Governor of Council of Justices of the Peace of Sri Lanka Honorable “Vishwa Keerthi” DR. Ilango Gandhi were the special guests of the event. and Village Officer of Hutton North 319’B’ Division Hon.Sivalingam Suresh were present. Special guests Mrs.E.M. Pavitra Nadishani, Dr. Tikkoya District Hospital. Many dignitaries were also present.The main features of the event were social workers and teachers and the presentation of India’s “Mahatma Gandhi” award certificate..This was followed by special speeches. Books and bags and learning equipment were given to students from low income families.
Council of Justices of the Peace of Sri Lanka Project Officers S. Sutharshan and ALM. Rijath have participated in the United Nations Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum, Asia-Pacific in Thailand and held meetings to highlight the field conditions in Sri Lanka and the activities of the Council in Sri Lanka. Officials who have visited the United Nations on official invitation will also hold several meetings.
