The inaugural ceremony of the “We Can” national project for peace by the panel of Council Justices of the Peace of Sri Lannka was held today (29) at the Bandaranaike International Memorial Conference Hall.Justices of the Peace representing all the 25 districts participated in this ceremony which was presided over by Dr. AMM Fahath, the Chairperson of the said panel.Executive Director of the National Council for Peace Mr. Jehan Perera, Deputy Director of Colombo University, Lecturer Mr. Hakeem and National Director of the National Council for Peace Dr. Ilango Gandhi joined the event as speakers.The focus was on peace and human rights and its chairman Dr. AMM. Fahath explained about the National Peace Project.Furthermore, the chairman stated that hundreds of programs for peace across the country have been implemented by the district groups at the regional level with the participation of the justices of the peace.A group of regional coordinating justices of the peace representing the 25 districts were present for this event. There, the panel succeeded in awarding certificates in recognition of his services.Moreover, a group of students studying human rights (50) were given the scholarship of the panel of Sri Lankan Justices of the Peace.
ශ්රී ලංකා සාම විනිශ්චයකාරවරුන්ගේ මඩුල්ල විසින් “We Can අපට පුළුවන්” සාමය සඳහා වූ ජාතික ව්යාපෘතියේ සමාරම්භක උත්සවය අද දින (29) බණ්ඩාරනායක ජාත්යන්තර අනුස්මරණ සම්මන්ත්රණ ශාලාවේ දී පැවැත්විණි.එම මඩුල්ලේ සභාපතිවරයා වන ආචාර්ය ඒ එම් එම් ෆහද් මහතාගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් පැවැති මෙම උත්සවය සඳහා දිස්ත්රික්ක 25 ම නියෝජනය කරන සාම විනිසුරුවරුන් සහභාගි විය. මෙම අවස්ථාවට කථිකයින් ලෙස ජාතික සාමය සඳහා වූ සභාවේ ජාතික අධ්යක්ෂක ජෙහාන් පෙරේරා මහතා, කොළඹ විශ්ව විද්යාලයේ නියෝජ්ය අධ්යක්ෂක, කථිකාචාර්ය හකීම් මහතා සහ සාමය සඳහා වූ ජාතික සභාවේ ජාතික අධ්යක්ෂක ආචාර්ය ඉලංගෝ ගාන්දි මහතා එක්විය. මෙහිදී සාමය සහ මානව හිමිකම් පිළිබඳව අවධානය යොමු වු අතර ජාතික සාමය ව්යාපෘතිය පිළිබඳව එහි සභාපති ෆහද් මහතා පැහැදිලි කළේය.තවදුරටත් රටපුරා සිය ගණන්, සාමය සඳහා වූ වැඩසටහන් සාම විනිසුරුවිනිසුරුවරුන්ගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් එතුමන්ලාගේ සංවිධානයෙන් දිස්ත්රික් කණ්ඩායම් විසින් ප්රාදේශීය මට්ටමෙන් ක්රියාත්මක කිරීම සඳහා අවශ්ය කටයුතු කර ඇති බව සභාපතිවරයා ප්රකාශ කළේ ය.මෙම අවස්ථාව සඳහා දිස්ත්රික්ක 25 නියෝජනය කරන ප්රාදේශීය සම්බන්ධීකරණ සාමවිනිසුරුන් පිරිසක් එක්ව සිටිහ. එහිදි එතුමන්ලාගෙ සේවය අගයමින් සහතික පත්ර ප්රාධානය කිරීමට එම මඩුල්ල සමත්විය. එපමනක් නොව මානව හිමිකම් පිළිබඳ අධ්යාපනය ලබන ශිෂ්ය කණ්ඩායමකට (50) ශ්රී ලංකා සාම විනිශ්චකාරවරුන්ගේ මඩුල්ලේ ශිෂ්යත්වය ලබා දීම මෙහිදී විශේෂත්වයකි.
இலங்கையின் சமாதான நீதவான்கள் குழுவினால் முன்னெடுக்கப்படும் சமாதானத்திற்கான “எங்களால் முடியும்” தேசிய செயற்திட்டத்தின் அங்குரார்ப்பண நிகழ்வு இன்று (29) பண்டாரநாயக்க சர்வதேச ஞாபகார்த்த மாநாட்டு மண்டபத்தில் இடம்பெற்றது.மேற்படி குழுவின் தலைவர் கலாநிதி ஏ.எம்.எம்.பஹாத் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்ற இவ்விழாவில் 25 மாவட்டங்களையும் பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்தும் சமாதான நீதவான்கள் கலந்துகொண்டனர். இந்நிகழ்வில் சமாதான தேசிய சபையின் தேசிய பணிப்பாளர் திரு.ஜெஹான் பெரேரா, கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் பிரதிப் பணிப்பாளர், விரிவுரையாளர் திரு.ஹக்கீம், தேசிய சமாதானத்திற்கான தேசியப் பணிப்பாளர் திரு.இளங்கோ காந்தி ஆகியோர் பேச்சாளர்களாக கலந்துகொண்டனர்.அமைதி மற்றும் மனித உரிமைகள் குறித்து கவனம் செலுத்தப்பட்டதுடன் அதன் தலைவர் திரு.பஹத் தேசிய அமைதி திட்டம் குறித்து விளக்கினார்.மேலும், சமாதான நீதவான்களின் பங்களிப்புடன் பிராந்திய மட்டத்தில் மாவட்ட குழுக்களினால் நாடு முழுவதும் சமாதானத்திற்கான நூற்றுக்கணக்கான வேலைத்திட்டங்கள் நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளதாக தலைவர் குறிப்பிட்டார்.இந்நிகழ்வில் 25 மாவட்டங்களை பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்தும் சமாதான பிராந்திய நீதியரசர்கள் குழுவொன்று கலந்துகொண்டது. அங்கு அவரது சேவையைப் பாராட்டிச் சான்றிதழ்களை வழங்குவதில் குழு வெற்றி பெற்றது.மேலும், மனித உரிமைகள் கற்கும் மாணவர் குழுவிற்கு (50) இலங்கை சமாதான நீதவான்கள் குழுவின் புலமைப்பரிசில் வழங்கப்பட்டது.
The meeting of the Governing Council of Justices of the Peace of Sri Lanka was held yesterday (25) at Bandaranayake International Conference Hall under the chairperson Dr. AMM. Fahath. There, Most Ven. Kiribbannare Vijitha Thero was nominated by the Chairman of the Council as the Chief of the Governing Council. After that, the Chief of the Governing Council gave the letter of appointment to the representatives.
The meeting between the peace volunteers and the National Director, who have been intervening in peace work at the district level, was held in Arugambay area in Pottuvil.
The International Human Rights Day was held today (2022.12.10) at the Central Provincial Office of the Council under the arrangement of the Governor. Governor Dr.Ilango Gandhi was the special guest. Wishwakeerthi Nufail and Secretary to the Governor Wishwakeerthi Raj Prasad were present.

The formation of the new committee of NuwaraEliya-Badulla district and the appointment of the new director took place on Sunday morning 2022.10.22. Explained to the Working Committee on Workshops for Justice of the Peace and other projects. National Director and Deputy National Directors were present. Newly appointed NuwaraEliya-Badulla Director WishwaKeerthi Prasath JP officially received his letter of appointment from National Director Dr. AMM Fahath.
A special meeting of Amparai district attended by Mr. Ganesh Selvaraja, who has been raising his voice internationally to provide solutions to the rights issues of Sri Lankan minority people, was held yesterday 16.10.2022 at 4.00 pm at Mengo Garden Hotel, Akkaraipattu.
Deputy National Director Dr. M.I. Fowzeel presided over the event, National Director Dr. AMM. Fahath Many justices of the peace from Ampara district including Deputy Governor Kalanithi Nihal were also present.
There were many speeches on human rights and peace in Sri Lanka and discussions were held on coexistence.
National Director Dr. AMM. Fahath offered floral tributes at the statue of Mahathma Gandhi in Batticaloa , along with Batticaloa District Director Mr. Ganeshan and members of CJPSL on the eve of Gandhi Jayanthi. The statue for 55 years is a symbol of the universal Peace of Mahathma Gandhi’s teachings, regard and affection for him in Sri Lanka and the close ties that India and Sri Lanka enjoy.
