Council of Justices of the Peace of Sri Lanka Higher Officials Mr. Akkash and Mr. Abdul Hameed have participated in the United Nations Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum, Asia-Pacific in Thailand and held meetings to highlight the field conditions in Sri Lanka and the activities of the Council in Sri Lanka. Officials who have visited the United Nations on official invitation will also hold several meetings.
The National Director Dr. AMM. Fahath of the Council participated in the Annual Special Session of the Canadian York University and delivered a special address.
The inaugural ceremony of the “We Can” national project for peace by the panel of Council Justices of the Peace of Sri Lannka was held today (29) at the Bandaranaike International Memorial Conference Hall.Justices of the Peace representing all the 25 districts participated in this ceremony which was presided over by Dr. AMM Fahath, the Chairperson of the said panel.Executive Director of the National Council for Peace Mr. Jehan Perera, Deputy Director of Colombo University, Lecturer Mr. Hakeem and National Director of the National Council for Peace Dr. Ilango Gandhi joined the event as speakers.The focus was on peace and human rights and its chairman Dr. AMM. Fahath explained about the National Peace Project.Furthermore, the chairman stated that hundreds of programs for peace across the country have been implemented by the district groups at the regional level with the participation of the justices of the peace.A group of regional coordinating justices of the peace representing the 25 districts were present for this event. There, the panel succeeded in awarding certificates in recognition of his services.Moreover, a group of students studying human rights (50) were given the scholarship of the panel of Sri Lankan Justices of the Peace.
ශ්‍රී ලංකා සාම විනිශ්චයකාරවරුන්ගේ මඩුල්ල විසින් “We Can අපට පුළුවන්” සාමය සඳහා වූ ජාතික ව්‍යාපෘතියේ සමාරම්භක උත්සවය අද දින (29) බණ්ඩාරනායක ජාත්‍යන්තර අනුස්මරණ සම්මන්ත්‍රණ ශාලාවේ දී පැවැත්විණි.එම මඩුල්ලේ සභාපතිවරයා වන ආචාර්ය ඒ එම් එම් ෆහද් මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් පැවැති මෙම උත්සවය සඳහා දිස්ත්‍රික්ක 25 ම නියෝජනය කරන සාම විනිසුරුවරුන් සහභාගි විය. මෙම අවස්ථාවට කථිකයින් ලෙස ජාතික සාමය සඳහා වූ සභාවේ ජාතික අධ්‍යක්ෂක ජෙහාන් පෙරේරා මහතා, කොළඹ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ නියෝජ්‍ය අධ්‍යක්ෂක, කථිකාචාර්ය හකීම් මහතා සහ සාමය සඳහා වූ ජාතික සභාවේ ජාතික අධ්‍යක්ෂක ආචාර්ය ඉලංගෝ ගාන්දි මහතා එක්විය. මෙහිදී සාමය සහ මානව හිමිකම් පිළිබඳව අවධානය යොමු වු අතර ජාතික සාමය ව්‍යාපෘතිය පිළිබඳව එහි සභාපති ෆහද් මහතා පැහැදිලි කළේය.තවදුරටත් රටපුරා සිය ගණන්, සාමය සඳහා වූ වැඩසටහන් සාම විනිසුරුවිනිසුරුවරුන්ගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් එතුමන්ලාගේ සංවිධානයෙන් දිස්ත්‍රික් කණ්ඩායම් විසින් ප්‍රාදේශීය මට්ටමෙන් ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය කටයුතු කර ඇති බව සභාපතිවරයා ප්‍රකාශ කළේ ය.මෙම අවස්ථාව සඳහා දිස්ත්‍රික්ක 25 නියෝජනය කරන ප්‍රාදේශීය සම්බන්ධීකරණ සාමවිනිසුරුන් පිරිසක් එක්ව සිටිහ. එහිදි එතුමන්ලාගෙ සේවය අගයමින් සහතික පත්‍ර ප්‍රාධානය කිරීමට එම මඩුල්ල සමත්විය. එපමනක් නොව මානව හිමිකම් පිළිබඳ අධ්‍යාපනය ලබන ශිෂ්‍ය කණ්ඩායමකට (50) ශ්‍රී ලංකා සාම විනිශ්චකාරවරුන්ගේ මඩුල්ලේ ශිෂ්‍යත්වය ලබා දීම මෙහිදී විශේෂත්වයකි.
இலங்கையின் சமாதான நீதவான்கள் குழுவினால் முன்னெடுக்கப்படும் சமாதானத்திற்கான “எங்களால் முடியும்” தேசிய செயற்திட்டத்தின் அங்குரார்ப்பண நிகழ்வு இன்று (29) பண்டாரநாயக்க சர்வதேச ஞாபகார்த்த மாநாட்டு மண்டபத்தில் இடம்பெற்றது.மேற்படி குழுவின் தலைவர் கலாநிதி ஏ.எம்.எம்.பஹாத் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்ற இவ்விழாவில் 25 மாவட்டங்களையும் பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்தும் சமாதான நீதவான்கள் கலந்துகொண்டனர். இந்நிகழ்வில் சமாதான தேசிய சபையின் தேசிய பணிப்பாளர் திரு.ஜெஹான் பெரேரா, கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் பிரதிப் பணிப்பாளர், விரிவுரையாளர் திரு.ஹக்கீம், தேசிய சமாதானத்திற்கான தேசியப் பணிப்பாளர் திரு.இளங்கோ காந்தி ஆகியோர் பேச்சாளர்களாக கலந்துகொண்டனர்.அமைதி மற்றும் மனித உரிமைகள் குறித்து கவனம் செலுத்தப்பட்டதுடன் அதன் தலைவர் திரு.பஹத் தேசிய அமைதி திட்டம் குறித்து விளக்கினார்.மேலும், சமாதான நீதவான்களின் பங்களிப்புடன் பிராந்திய மட்டத்தில் மாவட்ட குழுக்களினால் நாடு முழுவதும் சமாதானத்திற்கான நூற்றுக்கணக்கான வேலைத்திட்டங்கள் நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளதாக தலைவர் குறிப்பிட்டார்.இந்நிகழ்வில் 25 மாவட்டங்களை பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்தும் சமாதான பிராந்திய நீதியரசர்கள் குழுவொன்று கலந்துகொண்டது. அங்கு அவரது சேவையைப் பாராட்டிச் சான்றிதழ்களை வழங்குவதில் குழு வெற்றி பெற்றது.மேலும், மனித உரிமைகள் கற்கும் மாணவர் குழுவிற்கு (50) இலங்கை சமாதான நீதவான்கள் குழுவின் புலமைப்பரிசில் வழங்கப்பட்டது.
The meeting of the Governing Council of Justices of the Peace of Sri Lanka was held yesterday (25) at Bandaranayake International Conference Hall under the chairperson Dr. AMM. Fahath. There, Most Ven. Kiribbannare Vijitha Thero was nominated by the Chairman of the Council as the Chief of the Governing Council. After that, the Chief of the Governing Council gave the letter of appointment to the representatives.
There was a special discussion between High commissioner of Netherlands ms Bonnie horbach , Mr Perera special officer for project, high commission of Netherlands in Sri Lanka and Dr AMM. Chairperson of CJPSL on 24th Feb the high commissioner appreciated the efforts taken by The CJPSL and promised to provide assistance in future projects to be carried out by CJPSL
Special discussion with HE Traveller, Deputy Commissioner to the High Commission of New Zealand. He appreciated the Projects done by our Council.
Council of Justices of the Peace of Sri Lanka & Peace Wind Corps Japan., Signing Ceremony for the Project for the “Project for Peace-building Promotion through Security Development and Host Minority Communities in North and East Provinces ” – Tokyo Japan
On the special invitation of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Japan, Justices of the Peace Council National Director Dr. AMM Fahath participated in the 75th Independence Day celebrations held at Kotana Hall – Reiyukai in Tokyo, Japan. The delegates of the CJP headed by our National Director Dr. AMM Fahath were received at the Narita airport by members of the Sri Lanka Japan friendship Association.
The National Director met the EU Delegation and briefed them on the activities of the Council. He also discussed about the work to be done by the Council in the future. The meeting was held at the EU Embassy in Sri Lanka. (Colombo)
