2022 Annual General Meeting (ZOOM)

2022.04.02 The National Director and members of the Governing Council of the Assembly attended the Annual Executive Committee Meeting held through Zoom Technology. Decisions were taken by the National Director for activities for the next year and the inclusion of District Divisional Coordinators. The first step was to appoint directors for the districts in the Northern and Eastern Provinces, issue liaison letters to them and set up district committees through them. Information containing the resolutions of the whole meeting was sent digitally to all members.

The 10th Anniversary of the Council of Justice of the Peace was held at the Taj Samudra Hotel (2022.03.22), Colombo under the chairmanship of Dr. Fahath A. Majeed, National Director of Council of Justices of the Peace of Sri Lanka. The event was attended by Director of the International Peace Commission Dr. Jacob and Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya Janaka Thennasumanna.A special tribute was honour to the Directors of the Council and members of the Board of Governors who have worked closely with peacekeepers for the past 10 years.

Eastern Province Tamil and Muslim Athletes Football Tournament Under the Nationwide Program of the Council of Justices of the Peace Celebrating its 10th Anniversary!

dalaichenai Lucky team and Sammanthurai Ever Green team participated in this match. The lucky team won the match 3 – 0. Sanjeev scored one goal and Diluxan scored two goals for Lucky.The Lucky team played very well in the match and made excellent ball passes which helped the Lucky team to win the match.Dr. FahathA. Majeed, Chairperson of the COuncil of Justice of the Peace, was the Chief Guest at the event, which was chaired by Adalaichenai Senior Footballer Hamza Sanoos and Deputy National Director Dr. MIM Fowzeel.

Established in 2012, the Justice of the Peace Council has in the past served on a variety of peace programs and successfully completed programs for developing the personal skills of Justices of the Peace. Honoured hundreds of peace volunteers who have effectively conducted local and international quality conferences. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members and directors who worked for this.Today, February 4, proposed by many as International Day of Justice of the Peace, we are proud to launch our new projects and new logo.
