2022.04.02 The National Director and members of the Governing Council of the Assembly attended the Annual Executive Committee Meeting held through Zoom Technology. Decisions were taken by the National Director for activities for the next year and the inclusion of District Divisional Coordinators. The first step was to appoint directors for the districts in the Northern and Eastern Provinces, issue liaison letters to them and set up district committees through them. Information containing the resolutions of the whole meeting was sent digitally to all members.

The 10th Anniversary of the Council of Justice of the Peace was held at the Taj Samudra Hotel (2022.03.22), Colombo under the chairmanship of Dr. Fahath A. Majeed, National Director of Council of Justices of the Peace of Sri Lanka. The event was attended by Director of the International Peace Commission Dr. Jacob and Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya Janaka Thennasumanna.A special tribute was honour to the Directors of the Council and members of the Board of Governors who have worked closely with peacekeepers for the past 10 years.

IHRPC Peace International Annual Conference organised by the Indian Chapter of the International Peace Commission. Dr. Fahath A. Majeed, Council of Justices of the Peace of Sri Lanka National Director addressed the conference on the theme ‘Peace in Sri Lanka’ and congratulated the events.
The Mahatma Gandhi International Peace Conference was held at the Hector Koppegaduwa Hall, Colombo. Honors were given to many people who worked for peace and Indian University Chancellor Dr Jacob delivered a keynote address on ‘Gandhi’s Peace’.
Amparai District held a grand ceremony for those who worked for peace in the coastal regions of Sri Lanka. Over 100 Tamil, Muslim and Sinhalese peace activists honored with President Gotabaya’s blessings.
